MsDos.sys parameters - Windows 95/98/ME startup
For Windows 95/98/ME to be able to boot, the file MsDos.sys must start with
the following strings (replace C with your Windows drive letter).

Parameter Default value Description
Autoscan 1 1 : Executes Scandisk.exe if Windows was not closed correctly.
BootDelay 2 Delay in seconds during which the message Starting Windows... is displayed in 95/98.
BootFailSafe 0 1 : Forces safe mode reboot.
BootGUI 1 Shell to load at startup.
0 : MS-DOS
1 : Windows
BootKeys 1 1 : Enables Startup function keys.
BootMenu 0 1 : Displays boot menu.
BootMenuDefault 3 Boot menu default option.
BootMulti 0 1 : Enables dual boot of Windows with other operating system.
BootWarn 1 1 : Displays warning message when booting in safe mode.
BootWin 1 1 : Windows is loaded as default operating system.
DblSpace 1 1 : Loads DblSpace.bin compression module.
DoubleBuffer 1 1 : Enables double buffer for SCSI devices.
DrvSpace 1 1 : Loads DrvSpace.bin module.
LoadTop 1 0 : Loads Command.com between 0 and 640Kb.
1 : Loads Command.com between 640Kb and 1Mb.
Logo 1 1 : Displays Windows logo at startup.
Network 1 1 : Enables network support for safe mode boot.
WinVer 1 1 : Displays Windows version.
